Repay’s Otelier Integration and other Digital Transactions News Briefs from 9/10/24

  • Payments provider Repay Holdings Corp. said it has integrated its services with Otelier, a technology platform for the hospitality market, to enable vendor payments from the same platform where clients process invoices.
  • Payments platform Nayax announced it has worked with A2Z Cust2Mate to create technology that allows shoppers to manage and pay for items in physical stores through a touchscreen and payment terminal affixed to shopping carts.
  • The fintech Galileo Financial Technologies has launched its Galileo Instant Verification Engine, or GIVE, and its Transaction Risk GScore. The former offers real-time verification of bank accounts and ownership, according to Galileo, while the GScore serves as a real-time indicator of card-transaction risk, according to the company.
  • Commerce platform Rapyd launched a referral program aimed at sparking growth for independent sales organizations, payment facilitators, integrated software vendors, and other payments players by making it easier to find and line up partners.
  • Digital-wallet developer Ansa launched Ansa Anywhere, technology aimed at easing payments for merchants on transactions from wallets such as Apple Pay and Google Pay.
  • E-commerce platform Alibaba.com said it is working with Mastercard Inc. and Cardless on a cobranded credit card aimed at businesses making purchases through the Alibaba platform. The Alibaba.com Business Edge rewards card is said to be the first co-branded credit card offered by Alibaba in the U.S.
  • The processor FIS Inc. announced nine companies for its 12-week Accelerator program, which works to help startups work out growth strategies.
  • The Q2 Restaurant Trends report from payments-technology provider Toast Inc. indicates, among other results, that consumer spending at fast-service restaurants in 20 U.S. cities is shifting significantly to breakfast from dinner and late-night transactions.
  • Business-payments provider Bill.com LLC said it has hired payments-industry veteran Mary Kay Bowman as executive vice president and general manager of payments and financial services. Bowman comes to the company from Visa Inc., and has also worked at Block Inc.’s Square, Amazon.com Inc., and Digital River.
  • Andre Manci and Philip Doyle have joined cross-border payments provider Nium as chief financial officer and chief compliance officer, respectively.
