Restaurant Chain Everbowl To Accept Bitcoin Payments and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 4/15/22

  • Restaurant chain Everbowl said it will accept franchise-fee payments in Bitcoin starting today. The 6-year-old company has 50 locations and plans to open more than 150 additional ones over the next three years.
  • Gemini, a cryptocurrency platform to buy, sell, earn, and store crypto, said its Gemini Credit Card is now available in the United States. It is a Mastercard Inc.-branded card.
  • Payments provider North American Bancard Inc. has been named ISO of the Year by the Electronic Transactions Association. The company also won the award in 2014.
  • Chris Chen has joined payments technology firm Sila Inc. as chief technology officer. He was formerly with Wyre, a cryptocurrency platform that is in the process of being acquired by Bolt Financial Inc.
