  • The Wall Street Journal reported that Republican attorneys general for 23 states have warned American Express Co., Mastercard Inc., and Visa Inc. to stop their effort to create a merchant code for gun stores, alleging the effort could result in a mishandling of consumer data and would fail in its purpose of preventing gun violence.
  • Equifax said its I-9 Management services is available in the Clover App Market.
  • Payments provider Gr4vy said a new partnership with BitPay Inc. enables merchants to accept cryptocurrency payments through BitPay’s checkout service.
  • A startup called Lynk launched a payments platform for marketplaces and announced it has raised $3 million in seed capital.
  • POSaBIT Systems Corp., a payments-technology provider specializing in the cannabis industry, said it has entered Illinois, the 20th state in which the company’s systems are in operation.
  • Federal Reserve Financial Services launched its FedPayments Insights Service, an analytics tool aimed at generating reports for financial institutions on payments settled through the FedACH Service.
  • The Bancorp Bank, a long-time provider of payments services, announced it has completed its charter conversion with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency and now operates as a national bank.
  • Payments provider Maverick Payments said Recur360 has integrated into its gateway, allowing Maverick’s more than 20,000 merchant clients to use Recur360’s platform for management and reporting in credit card and automated clearing house processing.
