- Payments provider Shift4 Payments Inc. announced preliminary results for the quarter ended June 30. It expects end-to-end payment volume—activity it processes rather than directing it through its gateway to other processors—in the range of $11.78 billion to $11.82 billion. Gross revenue will total between $345 million and $350 million.
- Blockchain payments and financial-services provider Circle Internet Financial Inc. said it plans to expand its operations in Bermuda with new hires and a $100,000 investment in training.
- Uplift Inc., a buy now, pay later provider specializing in travel spending, said it has signed Air Tahiti Nui, allowing passengers to pay for fares in monthly installments.
- PayByPhone, a processor of app-based parking payments, said it will provide service for more than 2,800 on-street spaces in San Mateo, Calif.
- Buy now, pay later specialist Klarna AB announced the first group of U.S. small businesses to receive grants from the Klarna Small Business Impact Initiative, a $4.5-million fund established to help merchants recover from business lost as a result of the pandemic.
- Canada-based payments and point-of-sale technology provider Ackroo Inc. said it now serves nearly 1,800 merchants and 5,300 locations across North America. More than 10% of these clients are in the U.S. market, which the company said is a key target for expansion.
- Payments provider Nuvei Corp. said it is working with mobile-technology provider Judopay to enable mobile payments for KFC restaurants in Spain.
- Grocer Giant Food added an electronic benefits transfer card payment option for online grocery orders in a handful of Mid-Atlantic states.
