- Shift4 Payments Inc. has chosen ordering-technology provider Lunchbox Technologies as a partner for Shift4’s SkyTab platform and has also invested
- in the company. The extent of the investment was not disclosed. Meanwhile, Lunchbox has appointed hospitality-industry veteran James Walker chief executive.
- Ingo Money Inc. said its Ingo Payments service agreed to work with the payments platform Securely to offer real-time settlements to Securely’s merchants, which include large e-commerce sellers.
- The banking and payments fintech Green Dot Corp. said it has hired Citi to manage a process by which the company can investigate “potential strategic alternatives.” The board has also appointed William I. Jacobs, chairman of the company’s board of directors, interim chief executive as of March 7. Chief revenue officer Chris Ruppel was appointed interim president and interim chief executive and president of Green Dot Bank, also effective March 7. Both men continue in their current offices and are assuming offices held by George Gresham, who resigned March 7.
- The card-issuing platform Marqeta Inc. will act as issuer processor in Europe for Spendisk Financial Services, an issuer of cards used for corporate spend management.
- PCI Pal PLC said it will offer its payment technologies through RingCX, contact-center technology offered by RingCentral Inc.
- Flywire Corp. said it processed more than $2 billion in 529 College Savings Plan tuition payments to colleges and universities in 2024, working with savings platform Ascensus.
- Payouts platform Runa launched its Pay to Card feature, which allows businesses to send funds in real time to debit and prepaid cards in more than 190 countries via Visa Direct and Mastercard Send.
- Singapore-based Alchemy Pay, a payment gateway for translating cryptocurrency transactions to fiat currency, said it has joined the Switzerland-based Association for Quality Assurance of Financial Services as a self-regulatory organization. The move allows Alchemy Pay to operate in the Swiss market.
- Payments-technology provider SignaPay has appointed Christopher Hester vice president of business development. Hester was formerly in executive roles at Axiom Bank, Priority Payment Systems, WorldPay, and Payment Resources International.
- Joy Chik, president of identity and network access at Microsoft Corp., has joined the board of directors at PayPal Holdings Inc.
