Snack POS Adds PAX Devices And Other Digital Transactions News briefs from 8/29/23

  • Restaurant point-of-sale provider Snack POS has agreed to offer EMV terminals from Pax.
  • Soundhound AI Inc., a specialist in artificial intelligence, said it will work with online-ordering platform ChowNow to help restaurants answer and respond to customer calls.
  • Payments provider Nayax Ltd. is working with loyalty-technology platform Giift to enable consumers to convert loyalty points, miles, or other loyalty assets into payment at any merchant in what the companies call the first open-loop “loyalty-to-payments” solution.
  • InComm Payments said Southeastern Grocers joined InComm’s health-care over-the-counter network, a provider of benefit cards that can be used to buy foods and wellness products. Southeastern is the parent company for Winn-Dixie, Harveys Supermarket, and Fresco y Mas stores.
  • Payments provider PaymentVision launched its “Power of Pay Choice” campaign encouraging businesses to offer customers a cash-payment option.
  • Payments platform Dash Solutions has agreed to acquire 5-year-old payments-software provider KyckGlobal. Terms were not announced. Dash Solutions was formerly known as Prepaid Technologies.
  • Payments provider VizyPay reached an agreement to market its services to small-business customers through Clear Lake Bank & Trust.
  • Synchrony Financial said its CareCredit credit card, aimed at the health-and-wellness market, has been adopted by Specialty1 Partners under a five-year agreement. Specialty1 is a network of more than 225 endodontic, periodontic, and oral surgery locations.
  • Astra, a platform for instant payments, is working with open-banking provider Plaid to enable instant transfers in a range of fintech services.
  • Payments provider Fortis has launched a monthly video and podcast series called “Embedded: Unveiling Payments’ Latest Innovations.”
