Stax Acquires BlockChyp and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 10/1/24

  • Payments-technology provider Stax announced it has acquired payments-gateway provider BlockChyp. Terms were not announced.
  • Payments provider TrustCommerce said its Cloud Payments platform has been certified by all major U.S. processors, including Fiserv, Chase, Elavon, Global Payments/TSYS, and Worldpay.
  • The temporary-staffing platform Indeed Flex is working with payment provider Branch to launch a service called Same Day Pay to allow so-called flexible workers to access up to half of their earnings within an hour of finishing a shift.
  • InComm Payments said the United Supermarket grocery stores have joined InComm’s OTC Network, which allows stores to accept health-plan supplemental benefits for food and medications. United Supermarket is part of Albertsons Companies Inc.
  • Processor Jack Henry said it is expanding a partnership with Victor Technologies Inc. to launch a Payments-as-a-Service capability to financial institutions using Jack Henry’s services. MVB Bank, Dart Bank, and BayFirst National Bank are using the platform now.
  • Taiwan-based blockchain-technology company OwlTing Group said it will adopt technology from Visa Inc.’s Visa Direct to support real-time cross-border transactions for both individuals and businesses.
