• Paytronix Systems Inc., a provider of loyalty solutions to restaurants and retailers, announced it has added a mobile pay-at-table capability for eateries that includes the ability to redeem rewards.
• In related news, terminal maker Ingenico Group teamed with middleware vendor Datacap Systems to install a pay-at-table system based on Ingenico smart terminals at Uncle Oogies, a pizzeria chain in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
• MasterCard Inc. will show off its latest digital-payments capabilities this week at The Barclays PGA golf tournament in Farmingdale, N.Y., including contactless payments via its Masterpass digital wallet for concessions and merchandise. MasterCard in July announced enhancements to Masterpass.
• Online electronics retailer GearBest said it now accepts PayPal Credit, which allows customers to pay over time for purchases up to $99, with no interest if the amount is paid in full within six months.
• U.S. Bank said TravelCenters of America LLC, operator of TA and Petro Stopping Centers truck stops and Mini Mart convenience stores, is the first merchant to accept its newly enhanced Voyager fleet card; the card combines fleet-control functions needed by heavy-duty commercial rigs at truck stops with data-capture capabilities required by smaller vehicle fleets at retail locations.
• Payments provider Align Commerce announced Frederick Crosby, a former Western Union Digital, PayPal, and eBay executive, joined the company as chief revenue and marketing officer.
