- Software firm UST said it has worked with Kiosk Information Systems to introduce a touchless checkout platform that offers both voice and gesture-based interaction as well as a variety of payment flows, including QR codes, app wallets, contactless cards, and cash.
- Point-of-sale terminal maker Ingenico, a unit of Worldline, launched its Self-Modular POS, a device designed for the unattended payments market.
- Online bill-payment specialist InvoiceCloud said digital payments have increased 262% for the public-works department in Billings, Mont., since implementation in April 2020. InvoiceCloud is working with VertexOne WaterSmart to process payments in Billings.
- Small businesses said they are owed $3,000 on average from non-paying clients, according to a new survey from Skynova, an invoice payments company. To help alleviate the cash flow strain, 18% allowed partial payment for the first time in 2020 and 11% took a credit payment to correct the situation. Skynova surveyed 294 small business owners.
- Billing and integrated payments provider Chargezoom said it signed a partnership with gateway Fluid Pay LLC that expands the number of gateways offered to Chargezoom customers and enables Fluid Pay users access to the Chargezoom platform.
- Humbl Inc., a publicly held company that works to enable blockchain technology in mobile payments, ticketing, and other markets, said the OTC Markets Group has permitted it to move up to the OTCQB Venture Market.
- Fiserv Inc. said more than 1,000 businesses in Poland are now using PolCard Go, the company’s contactless-payment technology.
