The newly rebranded Verifone Inc. this week made several product announcements.
As the payments industry pays more attention to data security, Verifone this week said it is making its secure payment service Verifone Point available to all of the terminal maker’s direct customers and U.S. merchant acquirers and independent software vendors. It expects to make it available internationally in 2015.
n
Previously, Verifone Point only had been available as a service in the United States.
n
Internationally, Verifone said its MX 915 and MX 925 point-of-sale terminals were certified by the Dutch certification body NSCIB as compliant with SEPA Common Criteria.
n
Verifone UX series of unattended payment terminals are part of a scheme in Poland’s major cities to enable cashless ticketing for public transportation. The devices accepted contactless payments.
n
And Turkish Airlines is using Verifone’s payment-as-a-service production in its 6,000 ticketing officers and agencies. Verifone will provide the help desk, field services, hosting, hardware, and software.
