  • Visa Inc. says a change to its dispute rules and processes will make it easier for merchants to fight so-called friendly fraud in card-not-present transactions. With such fraud, cardholders dispute legitimate transactions to claim a refund.
  • Payments provider Deluxe Corp. will offer bill-payment technology from Aliaswire Inc. to its banking clients through a new agreement.
  • A U.S. District Court judge ordered that Apple Inc. face an antitrust suit in which card issuers argue Apple enforces monopoly control by requiring owners of its smart phones, tablets, and watches to use Apple’s wallet for tap-and-pay transactions.
  • Fraud-detection specialist Forter said it is enhancing its Forter Data Studio products to allow users to create custom dashboards for enhanced control and visualization.
  • Payments-technology provider Stax Payments appointed payments-industry veterans Amy Waldhauer, Jenn Reichenbacher, and Lisa Roberts to the positions of chief commercial officer, chief marketing officer, and senior vice president and general counsel, respectively.
