Visa Commercial Pay Deal Extended And Other Digital Transactions News briefs from 8/10/23

  • Visa Inc. said it has extended for four years an agreement with U.K.-based Conferma Pay to support Visa Commercial Pay, a set of business-to-business payments technologies.
  • Payments provider Vanco Payments said its Web-based RevTrak technology will support donations through Livingtree Give, fundraising software from the Livingtree fundraising platform.
  • India-based Tata Group’s Tata AIA Life Insurance announced it has begun accepting premium payments via Meta Platforms Inc.’s WhatsApp messaging app and Unified Payment Interfaces, a mobile wallet based in India. The country has nearly 500 million WhatsApp users and more than 300 million UPI users.
  • AppTech Payments Corp. said its technology will support mobile remittances to Brazil and Mexico for InstaCash Inc., a peer-to-peer payments platform.
  • Point-of-sale technology maker Sunmi Technology Co. said it completed EMV Level 3 certifications for its payment application on its P-Series terminals with Fiserv Inc. and TSYS from Global Payments Inc. Sunmi devices recently were made available as part of the Snack POS system.
  • The U.S. Payments Forum released its Summer Market Snapshot that provides a review of recent member activity.
  • POSaBIT Systems Corp., developer of a POS system for the cannabis industry, appointed Chris Baker chief operations officer. Baker joined the company in 2022.
