XTM Adds Apple Pay, Google Pay Support and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 3/16/22

  • Payments-technology provider XTM Inc. said it has added Apple Pay and Google Pay to its U.S. Today mobile wallet. The company says it has rolled out more than 100,000 wallets so far.
  • Payments provider Nuvei Corp. said it will process payments for cryptocurrency by holders of the Ledger hardware wallet. With the agreement, holders can buy crypto via Visa, Mastercard, SEPA, SWIFT, and other options.
  • Bankjoy, an online and mobile banking platform, will integrate digital money-movement services from Allied Payment Network, a payment-service provider for community financial institutions, under a new agreement.
  • Payments provider Quisitive Technology Solutions Inc. announced it has signed a bank sponsorship agreement with Peoples Trust Co., allowing the company to process payments in Canada on its LedgerPay platform.
  • Euronet Worldwide Inc., a U.S.-based ATM network manager and payments processor operating worldwide, said it has closed on its acquisition of Piraeus Bank’s merchant-acquiring business. The bank is based in Greece. Terms were not announced.
  • Health-care payments specialist RevSpring said Cerner Corp., which provides health-information technology, validated the integration of RevSpring’s PersonaPay, Talksoft, and IVR Advantage services with multiple Cerner platforms.
  • Huntington Bancshares launched its Cashback Credit Card, a Mastercard-branded card that offers 1.5% cash back with no limit and no annual fee. The cash back can be earned as statement credits.
  • Payments-provider startup ConnexPay said it has introduced its virtual card capabilities in Canada, allowing clients to issue the cards in Canadian dollars.
