Zip in Google Pay Integration And Other Digital Transactions News briefs from 12/13/23

  • Buy now, pay later provider Zip Co. said U.S. merchants that accept Google Pay online can integrate Zip’s Pay-in-4 service, backed by WebBank, for Google Pay transactions.
  • Trustly Group AB, an open-banking payments platform, announced its transaction volume on the Real Time Payments network increased 29% in the third quarter over the second quarter, while dollar volume grew 31%. The company says its transaction volume is nearing 10% of RTP’s total. Absolute figures were not released. Trustly works with Cross River Bank to offer account-to-account transfers. RTP, launched in 2017, is operated by The Clearing House Payments Co.
  • Business-to-business payments platform Melio Payments Inc. announced it is launching real-time payments through both FedNow and the Real Time Payments network, with support from J.P. Morgan Payments.
  • Kayapush, a workforce-management platform, announced an integration with Treez, a point-of-sale payments technology provider, to serve cannabis merchants.
  • Blaze Solutions Inc. announced In-Store Shopping, technology that allows shoppers at cannabis merchants to use a smart phone to scan QR codes, add the scans to a cart, and prepay for the items.
  • Global payments provider Airwallex said its service is working to become a payments extension on Woo, an e-commerce platform built on WordPress.
  • Corpay One, a payments provider for fleet fueling and a unit of Fleetcor Technologies, launched a Business Mastercard.
  • The U.S. Faster Payments Council released its “Real-Time Payment Applications Program Interfaces” report.
  • ACI Worldwide Inc. said the Central Bank of Colombia will work with ACI to build a new domestic real-time payments service.
  • Bluefin, an encryption and tokenization specialist, said Scheidt & Bachmann Fare Collection Systems GmbH, a fare collection systems provider, will use the Bluefin point-to-point encryption service for its payment processing software platform.
